Patriots Going to the Super Bowl

That's right, without the Patriots defense, I don't know what would have happened. Wines for dinner are as follows.

Bodegas Escorihuela Gascon Malbec Mendoza Argentina 2006 $11.99
While I picked up the blackberry and blueberry notes some thought it had a herbal edge to it. While not detracting from the wine, it was unexpected like a Patriots loss would be.

Finca Sophienia Malbec Mendoza Argentina 2006 $13.49
This wine was much more fruit forward. Almost aggressive like a used car salesman or the X-bike teacher who is yelling at you to do more when you've already put as much as you can. Like this wine, it has put as much forward as it can. I've stayed at the winery, talked the to wine-maker, and its hard to say anything bad about it at this price point.

Mas Donis Montsant Red Wine 2004 Spain $12.99
As the finisher, it does come in last despite being the last wine of the evening. The best that I can say it is old world in style and reminds me of the 4H competition at the State Fair. Yes, it was that barnyard like and really did smell like cow dung but tasted fine.
