HVD and Von Strasser!

What could better than roasted butternut squash risotto and flour less chocolate cake on VD? Well, a search of the cellar lead me to a 2005 Von Strasser Diamond Mountain District Cabernet. Afterall, the last video did mention it! Well, we were rewarded with a medium bodied wine that complemented the meal without being over bearing as some California wines tend to do. It had a nose of plum, sweet spice and a touch of violet which flowed to the palate. That along with an encore of showing of "The Sure Thing" made it a memorable evening.
